| Part of a winning strategy is having a good defense. Defense strategies in Jump Superstars are generally pretty straightforward, but there are a couple of things you can keep in mind to make your defense even better.
There are three buttons that will let you guard, and they each have the exact same function. Press L, R or DOWN on the d-pad to guard against attacks. If you guard for too long without letting up, your character will begin to flash red and will eventually get guard-broken (which lets you get hit). To keep this from happening, use push-guard to give yourself some breathing room. To push-guard, hold down one of the guard buttons and tap the Y button the moment an opponent’s attack touches you. If done properly, a push-guard will shove the opponent backwards, letting you quickly escape. |
